Merrick actually started up another label, Chalant, along with another list...the vibe he had going on Tektite has effectively moved over to Chalant but last I checked Tektite wasn't dead...just a holding pattern. He spins regularly in Austin but travels here and there.
As for Mad Monkey, the label recently relocated from Austin to Chicago and there's another release in the works for the near future. The outfit is bravely eclectic, but skewed toward more experimental electronic stuff than 313... In their own ways, both have contributed a lot to electronic music in Austin.
