Hmmn. I suspect it won't really be "FSOL" per se - I bet it'll be
something
more like the Amorphous Androgynous "psychedelic DJ experience" they
(Cobain)
did in St. Petersburg, Russia, last summer at the Stereoleto Festival:
http://www.futuresoundoflondon.fsnet.co.uk/050204.htm
"NME.com have posted that The Future Sound of London are to play the
Coachella
festival - this has been confirmed on the forum, although it is to be
an
Amorphous Androgynous show. More information when it follows."
http://www.isness.fsnet.co.uk/live/stereoleto.htm
"Setlist featured Amorphous Androgynous and FSOL material, including a
new
mix of The Lovers. Also played was the regular cover of Here Comes
The Sun,
and Pink Floyd's On The Run. More info soon..."
"Here Comes The Sun"? "On The Run"? Erm ...
(Personally, I thought "The Isness" was wretched cack; Gary Cobain's
become an
old Hippie and been swallowed up his own arse. "The Mello Hippo Disco
Show"
== "Magical Mystery Tour", anyone?)
If you want to hear FSOL in all their glory, look on SoulSeek for a
2-hour Live On Groove Radio (Jan. 23 1997) set - there are so many
moments
in it where I just sit there, slack-jawed, in complete amazement that
there
are human beings out there that could produce such utter mind-blowing
genius.
There's a track listing at
http://www.isness.fsnet.co.uk/live/groove.htm
I don't think FSOL have been "FSOL" since this time period, frankly.
(They/he went Psychedelic by the time of their Kiss FM DJ set later in
'97)
