I really enjoyed the evening, although as Rob has said, Saunderson, whilst
technically proficient, didn't do it for me at all. Too much clubby-tracky
style records played - I can see why people like him, but this wasn't for me
at all.

Mills was superb - very dark. One thing I did feel that he's really good at
playing these tracks which are a little bit submerged in the mix, with lots
of little bits going on - when he's playing music that's a little bit more
upfront, I don't enjoy it as much. When listening to him, I feel there's
always a little bit of pregnant expectation - you are almost expecting the
next track to come in at any time. And he played Basic Channel.....which was
nice.

oh.. and 909 work. Moby Dick (off Led Zeppelin II) for a new generation?
