Tell me about it - I was always into everything but I had a Mancunian friend
who ignored what was going on around him to obsessively collect
Detroit/Chicago/New York stuff - I remember him jumping up and down in a record
shop cos he finally found the record that completed his Nu Groove collection!

Then in a couple years the I got Inner City - Big Fun, and then Lil'
Louis - French Kiss. Then 808 State - 90, Orbital - "The Green
Album" and 'chime' (which is now a Ringtone for god sake). I was
became obsessed with anything Manchester related, as to a midwestern US
person it seemed this crazy exotic dance scene that I was too young to
experience firsthand in clubs yet over here. It's a case of 'the
grass is always greener' i suppose ;)
