Great point, and got me thinking: 'techno' is a classic over/under-defined term, in the sense described in 'Science & Sanity' by Alfred Korzybski. A quick definition from http://www.driveyourselfsane.com/dysbook/glossary.html - Over/Under Defined Terms: terms which are over-defined (over-limited) by verbal definition, with these definitions believed in as 'fact', and under-defined by (lacking in) specifics or 'facts'.
