way I see it is, Adverts could be a great source of funding for
"underground" artist
I agree, and TV show licensing stuff too....
Kirk Degiorgio has done some work for Adidas (right?), Aphex did
Pirelli, Tejada has done some too. If it's a way to fund a legit
underground label or buy new gear to support the creation of a
self-published LP for these DIY'ers, then it's kind of silly not to,
provided they are comfortable with the terms of said contract (which
vary widely!) and it is done w/ integrity.
I thought it was cool when, wasn't it a Cybotron track (?) that was on
the 'radio' channel of the car in Vice City videogame.. there was the
work that detroiters did for other videogames, forgot the name, i think
it was a few years back.
