Selected Ambient Works part I. Then there is The Philosophy Of Sound And
Machine on ART. Most of Beaumont Hannant's stuff is great to, Then there
are Luke Slater The 7th Plain albums... oh the list is endless!

IMHO, the B12 LPs are more floor oriented, less "intelligent" (yes, agree
it sounds dull), or less challenging.
SAW1 and ART CD1 are great, maybe they could be in the above list, but
none of the 7th Plans and the Beaumont stuff come close.

Steve Pickton?

Stasis sounds different IMHO, and many say Nuron is this Nurmad... Maybe
just another joke... (might say I belived Paul Teebrooke was another chap
when that Nova EP came out... tsktsktsk... heheheh)

I have heard some good stuff from the above artists/labels, but nothing as
exciting or challenging as the records initially mentioned.
Do you have any counter-example? Which release in particular?

This is good, reasonably ok produced, although most tracks are
uncredited covers of Weather Report / Chick Corea songs.

Any in particular?

The first EP by Arovane is good, but very far from mind-blowing.
Accordingly to Stefan, FDW: is still on, but dormant, since he has changed
focus back to his own stuff released throguh Eevolute.

Maybe I am too hard on this and trying to recover a nostalgic feeling I
have about this UK/intelligent techno music.
Not heard the Ross154 or the Connection Machine new LPs, though,
are they promissing??

Cheers,
