An example of SPW's latest drivellings: "Cybotron has always been a little raw for my taste compared to NY electro with better production, vocals, and 808 programming. No UFO's eh... kinda crap to be honest, could have easily come out on Trax. Juan Atkins newer material sound like a Rompler, I was listening to infinity...at least it's not laptop glitch/micro-house *cringe* The same goes for the obscure Chicago classics, Detroit deserves it's props but eh... overated. I'll take that rare Poindexter track on Chicago Underground with top notch production, sparse jacking beats over Yazoo sample Nude Photo. Strings Of Life is kind of abrasive/ annoying and reeks of 1989. The best Innovator comp came out on Network not the sub par matered Transmat version. The best UR involved Jeff Mills and Robert Hood. DBX in my opinion has always been overated with that Casio clap. It's a Chicago rip off. And midwest minimal techno is not much better. With it's pretentious quirky portamneto sound. Techno is all about politics anyway.
