I've never heard it and maybe I hope I never do, but for me it does
raise some interesting questions:

The fact that this (probably) cheesy vapid bit of commercialism has
decided to 'name check' Detroit makes me wonder, does Detroit music have
'cult appeal' again? (Or maybe it never really lost it?) I actually
believe that that mythical 'Detroit' as a place of glamour and music
dreams hasn't existed for decades in the popular imagination - even if I
kid myself that it may have had a brief reprise in the early '90s .....
although I'm prepared to accept that that was more likely *not* a marker
on the horizons of many, apart from people like us.
