i'm not really familiar with his work. our music teacher was a big fan of "oxygene" many, many years ago... maybe that's why i never listened to his stuff. he surely has his moments, i recently came across a few tracks which suprised me (can't name them, tho...), as i thought he was cheesy, too.

but at least i think he was pretty visionary concerning his artworks, al gore is supposed to own this as a poster:

he has his moments, just like tomita and tangerine dream and all those
other prog/ambient types from the 70s and 80s. Oxygene is his most
famous piece i think, especially the "part 4" which was something of a
dance hit.
