What exactly happened with that?
- Firstly it didn't seem to have been promoted at all - there was just
a scribbled note on the board outside with the line up on (which was
pretty badass - S2, S. Knight, Scan 7, Ultradyne, DJ Surgeon etc), and
the only mention I'd seen of it before was on Detroitluv. Which
meant it was pretty dead, maybe 30-odd people in a venue that could
fit 2000 apparently. Then it took about 30 minutes to get served at
the bar. Then DJ Surgeon came on to do his intro thing for Scan 7,
but there seemed to be some technical issues. When they came on there
was just silence. So surgeon took over again whilst they tried to
sort them out, but after about 20 minutes stopping and starting it
wasn't happening, and some guy from the club just said 'right, party's
over - everyone outside!' . So no Scan 7 & no Ultradyne. And no
refund. Grrr...
Shame, it should have been an amazing party... from the people i
spoke to though, all the issues were on the clubs side. seemed to be
screwing everyone around...
It was even worse than that. Apparently one of the club's security people
bashed somebody's head in, and that lead to the closing down. Supposedly
there were 100 people outside in line to get in at the time, and they were
dispersed.
