Without wanting to be too harsh on the organisers or the spirt of the festival, major headliners at a festival that hopes to attract international punters should be announced at least 3 to 4 months in advance at the earliest. The summer period is ridiculously laden with festivals in Europe, and in most cases people can only afford 1 or 2 at the very most and have to make decisions in Jan or Feb from a financial perspective because hotels, flights and the like go up as demand increases.

The change in the musical nature of the event was intentional and favorable in their eyes. JT For all the latest news and comment visit www.telegraph.co.uk.
