-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I had a catastrophic motherboard failure earlier today, and so I was forced to press my M2A-vm HDMI into service on my file server.
The good news is that I spent a big part of my day on this hardware. The bad news is that it still does not really work. I will be buying a different board ASAP as this thing is a piece of crap. I can barely get it to boot a Ubuntu kernel and even then it is fragile (not surprising given the options I had to use to get it to boot). I was also never able to get it to recognize my nVidia 7100GS, it always used the Internal ATI regardless of the BIOS settings. In the future I will stay far away from AMD, there are better options out there now that Intel has seen the FLOSS light. I had some promising results with a 2.6.26.x kernel that ships with the systemrescuecd. You may wish to try compiling the latest stable kernel from kernel.org. The 2.6.24 series is mostly useless with this hardware. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFI2Nv2wRXgH3rKGfMRAk8nAKCnszv/xjET+UTtB1bl8tCAAqtFXwCff580 94qnCVpyqE5ydFvOwwlv3Jo= =QZiW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
