Well, nobody yet offered any arguments for why it shouldn't.

I got a feeling that Eric was implying that this approach would somehow
be more difficult for building the servers. I also got an impression
that he was suggesting implementing one in order to feel the difference.

Sadly, I can't really commit to doing that just yet.
