AbiWord would even better suit my he did you not say your profile, he said your "Abiword.Profile" this is an XML file in which all your options/preferences are stored. in unix this would be stored in ~\.Abisuite in windows this would usually* be stored in C:\windows\Profiles\username\Application Data\Abisuite\ You can access a variety of not yet implemented features by editing this file, like having text labels on the toolbar buttons. (try it on a small display and then you will be really concerned about the lack of space). If you really want a feature then you should make a request and/or vote on things in bugzilla, and developers will try and get around to implementing these features. They definately dont want to have ordinary users to editing configuration files. If you really must edit your Abiword.Profile, then Read the instructions very carefully, and then read them again. I got it wrong the first time and people trying to edit their Abiword.Profile keep making the same mistake of editing the wrong part of the file. I wrote a short description of how to do this, but ill have to dig it up and add it to the documentation, but still the developers really dont want people doing this and i say again if a feature is really important to you then cast your votes. > needs if I could create a single toolbar with the buttons I use (and free up > screen space for the document). > > Michael > > > > Yes you can do all this by editting your AbiWord.Profile in version > > 0.9.6.1. read this bit again carefully: > > In fact in the Unix builds you can drag and drop toolbar icons anywhere > > you like including removing them altogether.
