On our campus we have a number of the Accordent Capture Stations (http://www.accordent.com). These boxes come with an Osprey capture card and a VGA capture card. What I did to capture access grid meetings was to set up a separate camera to point at the desired video window and, took and a screen-capture of the presentation and audio from a PIG, and the Accordent software works its magic and you get a nice-looking presentation to watch with a video window next to the screen capture window. It also allows you to index the videos so that you can browse to the screen shot that you wish to hear about and the video will jump to that point in the presentation. I would post a demo but I do not have anything that can be shared.
Hope this helps, Derek Vine Communication Network Specialist The University of South Dakota 414 East Clark Street Vermillion, SD 57069 (605) 677-8215 ce...@usd.edu<mailto:ce...@usd.edu> From: owner-ag-t...@mcs.anl.gov [mailto:owner-ag-t...@mcs.anl.gov] On Behalf Of Jeffrey Miller Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2008 9:09 AM To: ag-t...@mcs.anl.gov Subject: [AG-TECH] Digital DVR Looking for a commercial grade DVR that will record my AG sessions. Want to record to the hard drive via .avi or .wmv then be able to transfer to DVD. All the consumer versions like Tivo are all full of recording "off-air" and full of TV Guide menus that I don't want or need. Any suggestions? Jeff Jeffrey L.
