I finally got the serial working and setup the machine exactly like the document shows. However, echo cancelling was still not working, so I built a custom Preset 1 that worked. Several problems occured however, the audio out was extremely low. I had the gain for Output D cranked all the way up and we could barely hear the talking. Second, the mic inputs were somehow overloaded and would constantly clip. Adjusting the levels didn't work, it was either overloaded or too soft to pick up anything. Make a cable with the exact pinout, just to be sure u r using the right one. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Mann" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> To: "John Hodrien" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Cc: <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [AG-TECH] Gentner AP400 John Hodrien said: On Tue, 5 Jul 2005, Darin Oman wrote: Hi Jeremy, Are you sure the serial port on the computer is enabled/working? ClearOne recommended disabling the hardware flow control when we had problems with connecting to the device. Thanks John, but I tried all the settings in the RS232 menu and it still didn't work. I'm going to try some cables. I know the cable from our managed switch works so I'm going to try that cable next. -- Jeremy Mann [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> University of Texas Health Science Center Bioinformatics Core Facility http://www.bioinformatics.uthscsa.edu Phone: (210) 567-2672 -- Jeremy Mann [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> University of Texas Health Science Center Bioinformatics Core Facility http://www.bioinformatics.uthscsa.edu Phone: (210) 567-2672
