No institution can be termed as good or bad. It is the members of the
institution, which really matter.
We know that JNU has given its contribution in many spheres of life.
In fact, the whole JNU community has not been termed as bad or anti-national.
Those who raised antinational slogans, those who participated in that
particular event, those who tried to justify the act in the name of freedom of
expression, must introspect.
As for the accessibility issue, a lot needs to be done. Not only the flag,
there are many other matters related to accessibility more important than the
national flag.
Being a totally blind, I cannot see the colours.
There are colour recognizers, but those machines will never describe the
beautiful feelings which a patern of colourful design can create in one's mind.
However efforts one can make in the direction of accessibility, I have to live
without the beauty of colors.
Many more examples can be sited.
When one draws the rope and suddenly the flag opens, flowers shower and it
spreads and unfurls in the horizon. Those who have vision can enjoy this
unfurling of flag and I cannot. So, should I question the unfurling of flags
altogether?

Subject: Re: [AI] Why the tricolor makes no sense to me.

Hang on, take a deep sigh and drink some chilled water friends. I'm a die-heart
Indian however I've my thinking mind and I love to use it.
National bird, (peacock), National chakra (Ashoka stoop), National flower
(lotus), and the most important our tricolor (Tiranga Jhanda) is more or less
inaccessible to a completely blind. Shouldn't I raise my concern on this?
please contemplate. I agree raised slogans were wrong and I condemn, however
branding entire university as anti-national is utterly wrong. JNU has served
the nation in all spheres including disability advocacy and disability studies.
So please don't divert from the substance of the topic and think then debate.
I'd love to answer your queries if moderator permits further.
