My idea of a vacation would include 1. Good company 2. Good food 3. Good weather 4. Good reading material 5. Opportunities for long walks with friends/family 6. Shopping 7. Gathering information and knowledge of the place I visit. 8. Engaging activity with family and friends
Sight seeing might not necessarily feature high on my list. Sight seeing is good for me if the company is compelling. -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Asudani, Rajesh Sent: 15 December 2016 10:43 To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. Subject: Re: [AI] how can a blind enjoy vacations? Further, we should try to enjoy auditory tactile olfactory and gustatory pleasures which of course may not mean much to our sighted near and dear ones. For instance, I do enjoy even dresses rustling in wind, when sighted are standing still to take in visual splendors in vacations. We may have some things audio described but it is not a good idea to press very much for it and audio description is of course mediated by describers own sensibilities and perceptions besides being obtrusive upon her/his uninterrupted flow of pleasure. -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Krishna Bodawala Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2016 9:27 PM To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled.
