What I strongly think VI voters should anyway exercise their votes even if
transport facility is not provided to them.
Earlier when transport facility was not being provided, people with
disabilities still used to cast their votes.
In my humble opinion, it is not correct to refrain from casting the vote
just because we are unable to avail the transport or any other said
facility.
yes, giving the voting rights to people residing in other states should be
inntroduced by an online mechanism indeed.

I couldn't vote cause I'm in Bangalore and my vote was in Delhi. Poor
migrant worker,you know. In fact NRI can vote by registering online
with the Election Commission but crores of migrant workers working in
different parts of the country? no way. My friends however in Delhi
voted with ease they also availed of transportation facility provided
by the Delhi Election Commission. As per Delhi EC's own reported data
in the Hindustan Times today, around 1500 people with disabilities
were offered pick up and drop service by the Delhi EC.

entered to the booth. A volunteer lady asked my escort to straightaway

This entire process of exercising my vote took around 20-25 minutes as
the
polling station was just at the walking distance of 5 minutes from my
residence.
After reading so many experiences of visually impaird voters, it seems
most
of the things are nicely setteld by the Election Commition or even the
Government of India from accessibility point of view. As a result,
people
have also become more sensitised and awaken towards voters with vision
impairment.
