Not that I am associated with NewzHook, but I must express my
displeasure and utter disappointment on the way people are behaving.
Ajay is a CFA is a matter of pride especially for those who understand what it
even means. People are absolutely ok if no media agency highlights his
achievements, but if a receptive media agency like NewzHook decides to write by
committing a small mistake of calling him first visually impaired which later
got corrected by them, are we so insensitive to their good work that a
respectable person like Shilpi who had got nothing to do with disability has to
come in picture to provide such clarifications?
Why nobody has shown the guts to speak up for so many wrongs which are done to
take care of vested interests of a few people for which entire sector is
suffering?
@shilpi please keep up the good work leaving insensitivity behind. It is ok to
make mistakes and it is best to rectify them if you have the opportunity. As
nobody is perfect. Appreciate your brilliant team and firmly stand by with
them.00

Hi Shilpi,
I'm already aware about very well and still general people asume low
vision people as blind only.
I think that this link of your site needs to be reread and
reconsidered by you again:
https://newzhook.com/story/19757#targetText=As%20per%20the%20World%20Health,6%2F60%20is%20legally%20blind.

In India a person with a clarity of vision or Visual Acuity < 6/60 is
legally blind. India changed its definition of blindness in 2017.
Before that, for almost four decades since 1976, a person who was
unable to count fingers from a distance of three metres would be
considered "blind". However, now a person who is unable to count
fingers from a distance of six metres is considered disabled due to
blindness.

Also, this is a way to find the loop wholes in the definitions but
certainly it is not correct.
How can we consider a person low vision and not blind if this is true:
"A person who is unable to count fingers from a distance of six metres
is considered disabled due to blindness."
