Medical assessment became necessary somehow to avoid fraud cases hence for maximum people who applied for UDID card with 100% degree of disability also need to visit CMO. Maximum civil hospital follow this process. It is a feedback from low vision people that after medical assessment they receive degree of disability lesser than earlier one. For example, one person who is suffering by eye condition RP had earlier certificate of 40% and after UDID process and medical assessment he was given certificate of 30%. Medical authority explained about strict examination process order by ministry to avoid fraud cases.
