Greetings all, I was following the thread on getting issued a railway concession card and there were certain things I felt which I want to share. First, what is the point of the Udid card. It just feels like a centralised disability certificate whose primary use is only verification and nothing much. Secondly According to me, if I have a UDID card, I should not be required to go anywhere. The fact that I have a card issued by the government itself, proves that I am disabled. The process should be completely online, where you upload documents including the card, after the verification, you should be allowed to download the card in E form and after few days, you get the physical card delivered as well. Or, even better, simply upload the UDID card while booking a train itself and you get the concession. I hope, I make cense and officials and lawyers, please do raise this issue or, correct me if I am wrong.
