Greetings. I got the following query. As you all know, the OCI aka the Overseas Citizenship Card has indefinite living rights. It is a multi-purpose lifelong visa which acts as a PR green card which is a resident visa for India for people of person of Indian origins or Indian descent. My hypothetical query is, is this an obligation to renew the passport associated with the Overseas Citizenship Card once it expires when we are residing in India given it is a indefinite lifelong permanent visa to reside in India forever? What if we keep living in India, don't have any intent to travel internationally? Second, has anyone used passport miscellaneous to update the passport for the Overseas Citizenship Card? It seems the website is still inaccessible. Waiting for the prompt response from those individuals who are having the OCI card and residing in India and use screen reading softwares.
