Let me the take the recent example of Pooja khedkar, however she tried to
fake that she was visually impaired the AIIMS did not gave her clearance of
her being visually blind, she was called upon by the AIIMS frequently but
was not able to proof that she was eligible to be called a visually
impaired. She had money, political power still she was not able to prove.
Then she took another illegal route, and we should not discuss those, that
will be a digression from the real issue.
The point I am trying to make is, just like every cause has a reason, and
visual impairment also has reasons, if there is integrity in the medical
examination process, I am very optimistic that the fake and ineligible
candidates can be easily screened out, given the kinds of diagnostics tools
that has been developed in medical. Such things may be happening due to
unethical practices done by doctors during issuing the certificate. which
is a greater problem in itself,

But what can be done here is, just like UPSC and railways, mandatory
re-examination of candidates during document verification by institutes
like AIIMS and other similar institutes. Hopefully it will discourage fake
candidates from applying in the first place.

With regards
Raushan
