Dear Ravi,
1. There is no need for sarcasim or rudeness on this list.
2. It does matter to Kiran and others like me on this list to get to know
you better and maybe become friends in the future. One of the things I want
to know is whether you are visually challenged or not since I cant see you
myself I might as well ask .
3. As far as being interested is concerned I dont think it means "I am a
blind". It just shows that you are not meeting enough people from the
sighted world who are interested. therefore Kiran has a valid question.
4. The answer Kiran gave you was very logical. Too many visually challenged
people work on topics which concern the visually challenged. we have to show
our knowledge and enhance it on topics that concern the world and which will
better our prospects. It is your decision but the topic will form a part of
your cv for life. You were given meere advice it is for you to take it or
not.
5. Just for your information there are several members of Accessindia who
are not visually challenged. I can give you 2 names out of the top of my
hat- Col. Kapoor from Delhi and Suhas Kelkar from Mumbai.

I'd like to end this mail by simply introducing you and other new members of
this list to Kiran. Kiran Kajja is the founder of this group which we
cherish so much. he moderated Accessindia for several years until his job
constrained him. For Several years Kiran was a very successful entrepreneur
in Hyderabad and at present he works for a very famous software-business
solutions company in Bangalore.

Best of luck for your assignment.
Kanchan
