One thing forgotten in this discussion is drivers. Unfortunately many
venders have begun to introduce seperat drivers for 32 and 64 bits.
And some of the old devices will not have drivers for 64 bit and it
means that you cannot run them on your 64 OS platform. Much like Nokia
3th/5th edition models, microsoft has introduced driver signing
methods. It means that unsigned drivers cannot be installed on 64 OS
platform.
