Listen, except 1 girl (whom i never asked so never got) i never asked out anyone of my girl friends, but made them ask me. It's lot of fun doing that... There's no set rules for that but bhai, I chose not to have direct approach as it's risky, makes us offeree and most of all can disturb existing friendship. But you must go ahead and say it to her if there are condusive signals, time is less and have competition.
