Hi all, We would like to know from those of us who use thumb impression on their cheques if they have to do anything different while taking new cheque books or issuing cheques. Also if you know the procedure your bank follows to approve your cheques issued to third parties, both locally & outstation.
Banks have higher resistance to give cheque book to a blind person who do not sign but use thumb impression. Your solutions would help us to pass them on to our callers who face such situation and also sensitise banks. Any replies on the matter would be appreciated. Please specify your bank and branch as well. You may write back on or off the list as you may think fit. thanks, Pranay Gadodia | Programme Manager Project Eyeway - A knowledge resource for living a fuller life with vision loss C/o Score Foundation, 17/107, Basement, Vikram Vihar, Lajpatnagar 4, New Delhi 110024, INDIA.
