Here in Mysore, SB M bank's
personnel resisting to provide the InternetBanking facility by saying "customers who put LTM are illiterates and not eligible to avail the internet banking."

Though I persistently tried to explain about the R.B.I's Master Circular , C.C.P.D's judgement of 2005, and I.B.A's oreder based on the judgement, it was no use.

I also registered the complaint via SBM's online customer care facility.

Till now there is no response from them.

So, what is the next step?

suggestions awaited!

Subject: [AI] Cheques with thumb impression

Hi all,
We would like to know from those of us who use thumb impression on their
cheques if they have to do anything different while taking new cheque books
or issuing cheques. Also if you know the procedure your bank follows to
approve your cheques issued to third parties, both locally & outstation.

Banks have higher resistance to give cheque book to a blind person who do
not sign but use thumb impression. Your solutions would help us to pass them
on to our callers who face such situation and also sensitise banks.

Any replies on the matter would be appreciated. Please specify your bank and branch as well. You may write back on or off the list as you may think fit.

thanks,
