Solution is to have thumb impression attested by bank official on all cheques at the time of issuance of chequebook itself so that the cheque is honored later as the thumb impression is already attested. The idea was given by CCPD way back in 2005 judgment, but seems to have fallen by the wayside. Biometrics was to have been adopted long ago, but is in the pipeline...
