In case of a property sail, you have no time. the signature is to be put in the presence of both parties and the magistrate.
There is a limitted time alotted to the clients.
The courts are so crowded these days.

Subject: Re: [AI] signs or thumb marks for the VI on important documents

sorry, what is a signature guide?? where is it available?? some details please.
and i think its only fair to get the person who brings the document to
read it to u at least the relevant bits before u sign, if u dont have
any1 else more trust worthy around. usually in matters of a serious
nature, they do allow u to take it home and give it a day for u to go
through it and sign. its very rarely at gun point where u have to sign
immediately. so it shouldn't be so much of a problem.
of course making a xerox coppy after u sign the document is also
equally important for any future reference, or in case of any
discrepancy between 2 parties.
at leasst for property related issues, they always give u enough time
to go through it at your own pace.

hi all,
here i would like to draw your attention on an serious matter .
in today's time ,when we can't trust on anyone ,if the matter is of
money or property .
so what precautions should be taken while signing through thumb marks
on important documents ?
if the documents are in hard copy then it is obvious that we can't
read that and we have to trust someone for it .
so what to do in such situations ?
i want the opinion of expirienced members .

thanks,
Maitreya Shah
