Openbook will never work with any other camera device (unless FS changes that policy) is because when it looks for the connected device as a camera, it only looks for Pearl which is separately listed in Device Manager unlike others.
I saw Lex personally, and I can happily recommend it because the hardware is also nicely made, and software is reasonablly good, packed with all essential features you need. Use Fine Reader as OCR it is so far the best especially for people like us for reading legal materials. But if you need help with Openbook, let me know anytime. Regards, -- Amar Jain.
