It depends on how you input the station name. Suppose you have to enter
Mumbai CST. Here you would type Mumbai CST, and press tab for the result to
be added automatically into the from edit field. But if you only type
Mumbai c, and press tab afterwards, considering the alphabetical order, it
will assume that you wish to enter Mumbai Central, and it will add the same
accordingly. However, you need not to be precise all the time, especially
when you are unaware of the spellings of different stations. Try
experimenting with partially relevant character combination of the station
name or code, you might probably get your desired station right. For
example, if you only type NDLS, which is the station code of New Delhi, it
will add New Delhi instantaneously into the desired field. If your screen
reader remains silent After pressing tab, please make sure to check it back
to see if whether you get the right station.
Following are the differences you queried for:
I-ticket: An i-ticket refers to the normal Internet ticket, which IRCTC
will courier to you at the address given by you while logging, which ticket
you
will receive at your doorstep in 2-3 days. For i-ticket you have to book a
ticket at least three days prior to the date of journey to enable its
delivery
by courier. It can be booked under Confirmed/RAC/Waitlisted ticket status.
E-ticket: An e-ticket can be booked up to the time of the preparation chart
for your train. This will require entering the identity particulars of one
of the passengers, who will have to carry the same ID card while traveling.
An e-ticket can be booked only if the ticket status is Confirmed or RAC.
