well ,though my application was submitted before my elder brother submitted his ,he got the id card. I went to inquire for my id card and came to know my brother's id card was ready. I told the official ,if required I m ready to resubmit my documents. she replied ,no need to resubmit as they have many more id cards which they cannot give ,because some new smart cards are coming ,probably replacing the one's already given and also replacing the old format. so ,she has been told not to give any more cards. further ,I asked her for a tentative date on which I could get my card. she sounded unsure and told me that I would b called on my mobile when the card is ready.
