Not that I know of. I never have.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion, but I have no idea why the SCI interrupt
isn't actually firing.

Do you think that playing with these bits might help? E.g. reassigning the IRQ
to something else, and then setting it back to 9 again? Or is there some simple
way to tell the kernel to force the ACPI IRQ to some other line (though I think
that Windows also uses IRQ 9)?

Furthermore, is there any drawback to using irqpoll? I'll test that out the next
chance I get and let you know if it helps on my end.
