------- Comment #27 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-12-25 08:07 ------- I have this issue onx86 architecture with acer aspire 5720. After return from suspend to ram or disk the fan is not started. The temperature in /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ01/temperature is not updated no matter what is written in /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ01/polling_frequency. I am attaching outputs from: lspci -vxxxx dmidecode and the kernel config output from cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ01/* <setting not supported> polling frequency: 1 seconds state: ok temperature: 75 C critical (S5): 100 C This output is after restart of the system, because it reached 80 degrees celsius after return from suspend to ram. I viewed it trough lm_sensors, which reports the temperature corectly: sensors coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter temp1: +36°C (high = +100°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter temp1: +35°C (high = +100°C) Actually the problem is the same as descirbed by Radoslav in comment 22 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
