------- Comment #55 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-07-24 12:13 ------- Created an attachment (id=16966) --> (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=16966&action=view) dmesg output when the fan isn't started I'm really confused because it's spooky what's happening. This evening I sat down to get the dmesg as you requested and guess what the fan was working properly: it was shutdown at boot time because the temperature was bellow threshold but it was started properly when the processors heated up... so it was working properly. Then I restarted several times and even powered off and on and everything was fine. This was annoying because I could not reproduce the situation. Then I restarted and booted windows, then restarted again and booted debian again and this time the problem appeared. So in my opinion windows is doing something which confuses the kernel. I will try to determine the exact situation when this problem appears. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
