The problem of sudden rise of measured core temperature followed by 2 seconds
of high rpm fan spinning and finally a hard shutdown of the laptop persists in
2.6.38-22.

It happens independently of load (even in RL 3 with nothing happening in the
background) on a perfectly cleaned laptop.

The temp jumps from around 54° idle to 127°C with no intermediate measurements.

The only solution so far is disabling ACPI completely to have a usable laptop.
