Well, in my case, vacuuming did have a significant effect. As a matter of fact,
when this problem manifested itself for the first time, it was extremely
massive, and my laptop was willing to shut itself down several times a day.
After vacuuming, it took over two weeks and really heavy load to have it force
itself shut down again.

Nonetheless, there were no significant objective differences in internal
temperatures, looking at the output of sensors. Even the cooler is still
running pretty loud.

That might mean that either I'm exactly on the border of the "critical"
temperature as perceived by acpi-tz and a marginal increase kills it, or that
it's simply based on something else than temperature.

Anyway, in my case, there's a direct causality between load (temperature) and
the shutdowns, but the shutdowns still seem to be bogus, happening at way lower
temperature than they should happen.

No effect at all here, both in terms of the frequency of shutdowns and reported
temperatures.

Again, seems to happen completely at random here with no correlation.

It is an odd one though.......
