--- Comment #109 from Lan Tianyu <[email protected]> 2013-04-22 02:36:19 --- Hi all, pleas try test this issue with kernel parameter "thermal.nocrt=1" and record the temp per second. I'd like to see whether the temp will return to normal value after reaching 127C. Before testing, please apply the patch in the comment 103, it resolves some EC transaction timeout problem and it seems not related with shutdown problem. >From the log in the comment #85. The temp already reached 127C before the timeout issue happened. If the issue happen, no temp will return from the thermal driver except for -ENODEV error code. /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device2/cur_state:0 /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device2/max_state:15 /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device2/type:LCD /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/cdev0_trip_point:1 /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/cdev1_trip_point:1 /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/mode:enabled /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp:127000 /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_0_temp:110000 /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point_0_type:critical /sys/class/thermal/the May 30 12:49:18 venus kernel: [38169.530102] ACPI Exception: AE_TIME, Returned by Handler for [EmbeddedControl] (20120111/evregion-501) May 30 12:49:18 venus kernel: [38169.530140] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.EC0_.GBTT] (Node ffff880131dc4be0), AE_TIME (20120111/psparse-536) May 30 12:49:18 venus kernel: [38169.530171] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.BAT1._BST] (Node ffff880131ddd410), AE_TIME (20120111/psparse-536) May 30 12:49:18 venus kernel: [38169.530263] ACPI Exception: AE_TIME, Evaluating _BST (20120111/battery-455) May 30 12:49:18 venus kernel: [38170.030055] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data.
