--- Comment #3 from Wei Huang ([email protected]) ---
Hi thisisamirv,

Friendly ping - it's been a few weeks since the patch was attached. To
move this forward, I've now submitted it to the platform-x86 mailing
list so the ThinkPad ACPI maintainers can review it:

    platform/x86: thinkpad_acpi: Add X9-14 Gen 1 to non-standard
    thermal/fan quirk tables
    https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected]/

It is still untested on real X9-14 Gen 1 hardware. If you're able to
build a kernel with the patch applied and reboot, the confirmation
I'd need is:

  - the "ThinkPad ACPI EC access misbehaving, disabling thermal
    sensors access" message is GONE from dmesg;
  - thermal sensors report real values:
        sensors thinkpad
    or:
        cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/temp*_input
  - fan RPM is non-zero:
        cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/fan*_input

If it works, a formal Tested-by tag would let the maintainers pick the
fix up directly. Just reply with:

    Tested-by: thisisamirv <[email protected]>

If you no longer have access to the machine, no worries - just let me
know and I'll note it on the mailing list. Thanks!
