The long way would be to just right-click and save as for the graphics,
and
  view source for the HTML.
for those stubborn websites, there's always 'offline' viewing system like
  WebStripper (Webstripper.com)
but even then.. that can't save everything (like the new MSN Blogs).. So
THOSE sites you need to get into the HTML and save everything off
manually.

Just remember damn near everything on the net is copywritten.. becareful
  what you pull down.

Is there a way to get IE to save as much as is available instead of giving
  the error msg ?
Sometimes all I want is the HTML and graphics.

  Thanks

It means that it can't copy all of the site. but bits and pieces where
still
downloaded, but it can't download anything that's store on another server.
For example, if all your HTML and graphics are on the web server.. but
your
Javascript is located on another server, IE won't be able to save the
website. Of course, there's many ways around this little problem. But
that's how you 'set it up'

I have noticed that a variety of sites (cnet, UsaToday, cnn, etc) use some
methodology to prevent their pages from being copies. If you try to do:

File | Save As | Save

  you get:

        Error saving web page
The web page could not be saved to the selected location

I would like to incorporate that into my sites.

Does anyone know how they do it?

  TIA,

  Far Farley
