So I guess the moral of the story is, don't use WordPad on Vista?
*BEGIN RANT*
The moral of the story is: 4D has stunted your growth as programmers.
The 4D system of managing methods hasn't changed in 20 years. The 4D
language itself is hopelessly stuck in 1989. The method editor itself
is passable at best. Overall it's simply appalling compared to what
the rest of the world is using right now. The lack of ability to keep
methods as text files so they can be properly integrated with version
control systems is, in today's world, inexcusable.
There are so many good programmer's editors out there, and none of
them are expensive. The fact that you are even discussing whether or
not to use WordPad for **programming** is sad beyond words. I really
feel like crying. It is no reflection on you, but on 4D.
*END RANT*
