Extremely sorry to tell you that I am not aware of how to use ppm,
When I am typing ppm at C:\perl\bin,then I getting GUI, which shows certain
options like install etc, but I can't do anything there.
And there is no ppm> session will be established. Hope I have to do something
here.

Urgent response:
Crypt::DES seems to be in the ppm archive, so it would seem to be
simpler to install it using ppm.
