Greetings.

I am using ActiveScaffold and I decided to add a simple menu of links
for my application so I can navigate around while developing the
application.

I went to myapplication/views/layouts and added an
application.html.erb file (from the default one created by RadRails):

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/
TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<html>
        <head>
                <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=iso-8859-1" />
                <title>Untitled Document</title>
        </head>
        <body>
                <h1>Test</h1>
                <=% yield %>
        </body>
</html>

-------------------------------------------------------
When I go to the index I configured in routes.rb, "Test" does not
appear anywhere in the page source.

Also, I tried putting some nonsense into <= >, so the app would crash
when it hit this page, but it does not crash. I concluded from this
that application.html.erb is not being processed at all.

Any ideas where to look?

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Tom S.
