I'd love to see a lobbying effort, if possible, to get government grants for open source. Basically, just like artists get grants to do artwork, open source developers or even companies who shell out open source would receive grants. No idea if any of this has been attempted with any degree of success but it hones into the very life blood of Linux and free software. My issue with the previous efforts, especially things like certification, is that none of it helps Linux and open source software. It's all parasitic. Would be refreshing to see something more symbiotic. -- Thamer Al-Harbash http://www.whitefang.com/ Alpha Geek of the Toronto UNIX Cabal: "Perfection is a lead pipe and one sorry Poser." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
