I think it was someone on this list that was asking about converting flv files earlier. I had this link sent to me today, I downloaded it as well as the free Youtube downloader. I downloaded a video from YouTube and converted the file to wmv and to an avi. Worked fine.

Also note from the readme file contained therein... "You have to install it before the Giveaway offer for the software is over." About 15 hours left. there is also a free utility on their website called Youtube downloader that allows you to download Youtube and other videos (google etc.) which can then be converted using the editor to convert to other formats such as avi, wmv, mpg.
