I'm back! With a new issue! Yay!
we were able to partially deal with the previous crashing issues (thanks
in large part to all of you here giving advice).I purchased an additional 4 gb
of memory for now, and we're in the process of obtaining the CS5 upgrade, so
hopefully those 2 things will help a lot.
New issue: we got the new camera- Canon Vixia HV40.It seems CS4 is not
seeing it. Windows 7 does see it.I made lots of notes on our troubleshooting
which i can/will relate in a follow-up email, but wondered if anyone here
recognizes this as a typical issue. The model # is not a choice in the Device
Control settings. It shows the camera as
online, and says it's capturing - but the cap window is blank and the timecode
stays at 0- and when stopped/pause says there was a recorder error. I'm about
to go online to see if we have the latest camera drivers right now. if i find
that there is an updated one- where/how do i install it for use by Premiere? I
also saw a button to "go online for device type", but the pc is not online
-never was, don't want it to be!
Thanks,
Adriane
