response to Uwe: we are using firewire- that's not the problem
I could have sworn that this camera was recommended by someone on this forum a
few months ago when we asked for suggestions.
I have not yet checked if we have the CS4 update- will do so
when i get home. does anyone know if i'll be able to d/l it from a different
pc- meaning not the editing box that has CS4 on it?
Joe- by manual capture- what do you mean?
If we have Windows Movie Maker (I assume it comes w/ Win7? )I guess I could
capture via firewire thru WMM to an .avi file, and then import
into CS4? Sounds too easy, but hey...
Gregg- I'm going to investigate your links later this weekend (the HDV
thingie.
If there is a compatibility problem here- that means we'll not be able to
export to tape with this camera also, right?
why can't we just sit down & easily do this video-making stuff without
constant complications? it's getting old.
